I've always loved English so since I was a little child, I've wanted to go to United Kingdom and not only for the language but also for the people, culture and customs. My chance arrived in 3rd of ESO when my school organised a trip to Winchester. The trip was only for a week but It has been the best experience I have had so far.
That week, my best friend and I were with a host family. Staying with them allowed me to see how people live
there, what are their customs and what do they do in their everyday life.
In the
mornings, we went to classes where we learnt English and did activities such as
talking to different people in the street; in the afternoons, we visited
Winchester and even one day London and another one, Southampton; and at nights,
we spent time with our host families just talking or playing board games.
I loved walking through the long streets of Winchester, shopping in stores, visiting the market and seeing the round table but what I liked most was the architecture of the buildings and houses, I was incredibly amazed by the style of these.
I also enjoyed hearing people talk, even if it's a very absurd thing, for me, it was really wonderful because British pronunciation has always caught my attention.
It was a
week to remember. I wish I could repeat it again.
