9. American customs I like/dislike

10.15

One of the places I would like to travel for a great season would be America, specifically the United States. In this country, there are many customs and traditions that attract my attention, some that I like and others that, on the contrary, I don't.

On the one hand, the traditions that I like the most are those that are realized when the time of Halloween and Thanksgiving arrives. These two festivities are lived by Americans with great intensity. In addition, a variety of activities are carried out that are truly amazing. In Halloween, for instance, people decorate houses with pumpkins, spiders or bats. And not only that, it is also a tradition dressing up in creepy costumes and go from house to house asking for sweets and saying the popular phrase "trick or treat". On the other hand, Thanksgiving is festivity to spend time with family. Many people live far from family members and travel long distances by car, train, or plane to be with their loved ones. On this date, people make huge dinners where they usually eat traditional food such as turkey, stuffing, gravy, sweet potatoes, cornbread, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce.

On the other hand, there are also traditional things that I don't like too much. By that I mean that the typical food of this country is not really to my liking. These meals are pizzas, hot dogs or typical chicken wings. Occasionally I would not mind eating this type of food, but I am more a fan of potato omelette or paella.

Finally, I would like to highlight that although there are traditions that I like more or less, I would love to be able to visit the country and enjoy them.
