Since I was a child I have always loved music. It didn't matter if it was the songs on the radio or the movies on Disney Channel, I knew them all. And they were all in English. My hobby at that age was learning them by memory and looking for the translation of them into my language.
When I was about twelve years old a song became very fashionable: What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. They were constantly playing it on the radio and I was always listening to it. One day I seach on the Internet this group that everyone was talking about, a group of five young guys who had come out on a UK talent show called The X Factor.
That same day I was all afternoon listening to their songs. I loved them all. As the years went by they released more albums and I liked more each album.
In 2014 they announced their third tour, and in this one they come to Spain. I begged my parents to go, I really wanted to see my favorite band in concert. What I didn't know at the time was that this was going to be the last chance to see the five of them together and one year later Zayn would leave the band.
In 2015, Zayn decided to leave the band. I remember the day I found out perfectly. I called my best friend very quickly and we spent the whole afternoon crying. The truth is that we couldn't understand it. Later, it was discovered that he didn't feel comfortable in the group, that he couldn't be himself or make the music he wanted.
The band continued but instead of five members, with four. They released a new album which I loved. And after that, in 2017, they announced that they needed a break from the music. A break that was supposed to last until 2020 but became an endless pause as all the band members started releasing solo singles.
At first I was trying to listen to the solitary music of the five boys after a while, I started to listen much more to the music of one of them: Harry Styles, which had been my favorite of the band.
I liked his songs by far. I loved the new direction that his career had taken. His style and personality was in all the videoclips and songs. Later, an album arrived, with it a tour and a concert in Madrid which I was very lucky to attend. It was one of the best days of my life. Until I didn't have Harry in front of me on stage for a while, it seemed like an illusion of mine. Everything was spectacular, the concert, him and the music. In fact, music is magic. That concert was a wonderful experience as music can make people jump with joy and cry with emotion. That was what I felt that day at the Wizink Center. A day that I will never forget.
